 DK-LOK Fuse Plug

     
   
 
 
 
DK-LOK Fuse Plug is thermally actuated device.
The Plug is melting by temperature not by pressure.

Fuse Plug is made out of stainless steel DK-LOK Tube Stub and filled up with an alloy metals inside that melt at low temperatures.

Fuse Plug is designed to be used with DK-LOK 3/8 in. OD fittings.

These safety devices are applicable where heat could initiate fire or an explosive chemical reaction.

Fuse Plug melts or yields when the temperature reaches the rated temperatures.

Applications and Operation

  • Fuse Plugs are to be used as a pressure relief device where heat could initiate fire or an explosive chemical reaction.
  • Applicable pressure is limited to 300 psig (20.6 bar).
  • Over 300 psig (20.6 bar) pressure damages the fuse Plugs.
  • Fuse Plugs are not re-usable device.
  • Service atmosphere shall not cause stress, strains or corrosion on the fuse plug.
  • The plugs to be examined periodically and replaced if corrosion, stress and strain are evident.

Select applicable nominal melting temperature, and suffix it to DFA-6.
